Ballpoint with dyed Maple Burl, resin, and copper inlays

Maple burl dyed in reddish hues, coppery resin bands and inlaid dots of copper make up the body of this ballpoint pen.   The inlaid dots of bring the finial colors on to the body.  Several coats of gloss lacquer help to protect the surface, and pass light onto the naturally chatoyance of the wood and resin.  A black, medium point Parker style refill serves as the ink supply.
